Not much of a heritage behind this one ..But ..I gotta tell you ..it is going to be one of everyones fave for the holidays ..! The best part is ..THERE IS BACON IN THE CREAM CHEESE ICING ! OMG ! HEAVEN ! SWEET POTATO CAKE 1 Box Betty Crocker SUPER MOIST YELLOW Cake Mix 3/4 C Milk 1/3 C Vegetable Oil 3 Eggs 1 1/2 C Sweet Potatoes (use small can of yams, drain off juice) 2 TSP Pumpkin Pie Spice Heat Oven to 350 ,Grease 9X13 pan , Beat all together in bowl for 3 minutes or so.. Pour into pan ..bake 34-38 minutes Cool about an hour .. Then Frost with BACON CREAM CHEESE FROSTING ! 8 slices bacon..friend crisp, (use more if you want !)1/2 C Crushed nuts, 1 Can Duncan Hines Cream Cheese frosting ..Drain bacon..chop well..mix all together ..and spread on cool cake ..OMG ! HEAVEN ! Our good friends at Monterey Pub and their resident Baker, Mara McDonoughs Mom Joanne ,made this incredible confection FAMOUS in PIttsburgh ..!
