NotFair Alumni: Mimi Kelly, NotFair 2010 mimikelly/artwork/ In 2013 Kelly undertook residencies at Bundanon Trust, Bundanon Trust, NSW; Milkwood International Artist Residency South Bohemia, Czech Republic; Montsalvat, Victoria; and The Lock-Up Cultural Centre, Newcastle. She recently received an Australia Council for the Arts emerging artist New Work Grant and was awarded an Art Gallery of NSW Moya Dyring Memorial Studio residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, France to be undertaken in late 2014. Kelly recently presented at the 3rd Global Conference Beauty: Exploring Critical Issues, hosted by Inter-Disciplinary.Net at Oxford University, UK (2013). Her paper from the conference has just been developed into a journal chapter to be published by Inter-Disciplinary.Net later in 2014. In 2013 and 2014 she presented at the 4th and 5th Annual International Conference for The Popular Culture Association of Australia and New Zealand (POPCAANZ) conferences respectively. She is also the Reviews Editorial Assistant for The Australasian Journal of Popular Culture, published by Intellect. In 2012 she participated in the Critical Animals (TINA Festival) creative research symposium panel Bodies In Distress, as part of a collaborative research project with The University of Sydney ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions.
