Notable people in our society are dying. Some of our favorite musicians, actors, friends and relatives, have gone six feet below. This kept reminding me that we are only strangers here on earth, and one unknown day, we will exit this earth like others. But when we exit this earth, where will we be heading to? Hmm! That will be the beginning of the actual journey called Eternity. Dear friend, what is your focus? What are you aiming at? Are you so concerned with the issue of getting married, settling down and having children, that you no longer think about your future destination? Has the thought of securing a well paid job, making cool cash over night, or travelling abroad, eaten deep into your mind, such that you no longer care that there is an assignment waiting for you to carry out here on earth before you die? You who are anointed and gifted for Gods assignment, have you made light the anointing and gift of God upon your life by simply pursuing fame, money, position, or by involving yourself with immoral activities? May I remind you that you have only one life, you are young only once, and that you can never be a sweet 16 twice. May I also remind you, that many missed it at the point of chosing a life partner, some lost their Salvation due to the nature of work they accepted, why some who travelled out, ended up becoming drug pushers. So what are you doing concerning this matter of God and your life assignment? There is a purpose for your existence, there is a reason why you became born again. Seeking the face of God to unveil this, will help you know who to walk down the aisle with, the nature of job to engage with, and what you could pour your life into without regrets. Anything less than knowing Gods purpose for your life, and genuine pursuit of it with your youthful strength, will only make you a shadow of whom you would have become. Prayer: Lord, help me to lay my life down for you, even as you unveil the purpose why you created me. Help me not to be distracted with the activities that engages young people and reduces them to a piece of bread. Amen.
