Notes from today’s message—“Mission Possible”: God seems - TopicsExpress

Notes from today’s message—“Mission Possible”: God seems to have a habit of calling us to go where we often feel we cannot go. God rarely calls us to go where there is no challenge awaiting us. Often the challenges that await us might appear to us to be giants. But like Caleb in Numbers 13, we must summon the courage to commit to the call, knowing that God sees in us what we often don’t see in ourselves. God is aware of our shortfalls but calls us nonetheless. God does not count on our strength but our willingness, for God does not ask us to go it alone; God simply wants us to commit to go. We commit because it is God who is calling and we know that God has a track record. Let your prayer today be “Lord give me courage to commit to go to that next level to which you are calling me.” We must then summon the courage to confront the challenges. Stop running from the problem; stare down the giants in your life; they are not bigger than the God who calls you and comes to the battle with you. Everybody say “Confront.” Paul suggests that we can face or confront all things through Christ. Youve got to have your head right before you head to the fight. It is then that we are positioned to conquer the challenge because we go to the battle knowing that God already has guaranteed our victory. We often miss out or lose out not because God does not intend for us to have or win, but because we give up without a fight. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to Commit, Confront and Conquer. That is the spirit God calls you to have today. Now watch God work in and through you.
