Noteworthy: Wallstreet protesters allowed to protest, illegal aliens allowed to protest, but WWII Vets not allowed to use monument.. Governor Mike Huckabee posted a statement on his Facebook page regarding an exchange Representative Trey Gowdy had with the National Park Service director Jonathan Jarvis. Rep. Gowdy asked Mr. Jarvis why Occupy Wall Street protesters were illegally allowed to protest and camp out on a public park for 100 days, while World War II Veterans were not allowed to visit their memorial on day one. As is usual for any government bureaucrat, according to Gov. Huckabee, Mr. Jarvis danced around the issue awhile before finally landing on an answer. Mr. Jarvis said that the World War II Veterans would have been allowed in their memorial if they had only declared their First Amendment rights.
