Notice from Galway Transportation Unit; Aimed at strengthening sustainable travel linkages along the N6 Corridor, please note that Galway City Council is entering the final phase of traffic management at the junction of Headford Road and Sean Mulvoy Road (i.e. former Bodkin Roundabout). Motorists are also advised that from Tuesday October 8, 2013 a smaller (reduced diameter) roundabout will be installed on a temporary basis during the final phase of traffic management at this junction. Two lanes of traffic will continue to use the roundabout on all four approaches. The anticipated completion date for this project is the end of October 2013. Motorists should continue to expect lane restrictions and disruption until the project is completed. However, Galway City Council aims to keep disruptions to a minimum.
