November 10, 2014 -- Gage had a good morning, but a pretty rough afternoon and evening. He told Dr. Rosen all about his mouth sores. He is pretty sure it was from the methotrexate, and Gage will get more doses and more frequently the leukovorin. He was pretty nervous about his spinal tap as usual, but he did very good relaxing. Both Dr. Rosen and Kim said he did very good job. He started acting a little off just before the spinal tap which we just chalked up to nerves. He also had some nausea afterwards. He just never really felt good but couldnt really say what was wrong. He finally decided to eat some which helped for awhile. He slept most of the way home and complained some of his back hurting. Then as the evening went on his stomach and back bothered him off and on. About an hour after we got home, his pump started alarming. I talked to Dr. Rosen and after trying a few things it still wouldnt run. I had to shut the pump off, unhook his medicine and Dr. Rosen said he would have to figure it out tomorrow. All in all we are definitely back at this treatment thing and a rough go it has been so far. Hope things go better the rest of the week. It is so hard to see him not feeling well and hurting and not know what to do to make it better. Praying that he wakes up in the morning feeling better. Polly & Lionel
