Using only the major arcane of your tarot deck is a simple and effective way to do this. Shuffle the major arcane cards, keeping them face down. Ask: “Am I following the right path to achieve my goals? Tell me what I should know.” Select one card at random and lay it face up. Look intently at this card. Really look closely at the details-observe the colors, the clothing, symbols and so on. Remember, this is really your inner voice speaking to you. What advice has the card given you? Put the cards away. During the rest of the evening don’t try too hard to understand what the card has told you. Eventually message will come to you. Many Native American communities observe a traditional fast before their harvest festivals, and since the 1970s, Oxfam has promoted its Fast for Abundant World Harvest on or around this date. The sun goddess Sekhmet was celebrated on November 20 in ancient Egypt. Depicted with the head of a lion, she was a vengeful goddess whose name means “powerful one”. In observance of today’s efforts to recognize severe poverty and hunger, go without dinner, donate to a relevant charity, or volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen. Look within yourself concentrate your thoughts on where your sustenance comes from and ask yourself why the earth’s bounty is shared so unequally.
