November 7, 2013, Fukushima, Japan. (ABC World News) VIDEO 5:26. FINALLY, it is good to see that mainstream media are beginning to cover Fukushima. Here is a comment to this broadcast by Kimberly Roberson: ...the US has the highest permissable levels of radioactive Cesium in the world. The US recommended level (not even binding limit, meaning anything can be imported here) is 1,200 Becquerel per kilogram vs Japans permissable limit set at 100 Bq/kg or less. While it is most likely impossible for Japan to hold to that overall level now, they can legally export food and beverage to the US at 12 times the level they allow their own citizens. This is a huge radioactive loophole which must be addressed immediately. There is a Citizen Petition to FDA asking that that level be significantly lowered. PETITION -- ffan.us/?page_id=24 VIDEO 5:26 ...The Fukushima nuclear power plant continues to spew radiation. Its 5,300 miles from Los Angeles -- and still not far enough. Deformities are showing up in Japanese butterflies. The once-thriving fishing industry near the plant has been shut down. Dozens of species have been labeled too radioactive to eat.
