If you want a sampling of those books, find any of the Eclectic Education Series (McGuffeys Readers, Rays Arithmetic, etc.) Old Fashioned Education and Accelerated Achievement are two of the current curriculums that are USING those textbooks for homeschool children (my own included). You can also find similar exams (and their answers) in the NY Regents Exams prior to WWII.
