Now at Marys for the weekend, where the weather is still amazingly mild. Sitting outside in her North Yorkshire back garden, having a coffee and enjoying the fabulous view of that other region in the world that lays claim of being Gods own country. The other of course is Tasmania. Picked blackberries this morning - which are not regarded as being quite the weed they are in Oz - and for which I have always had an abiding passion - so we can look forward to blackberry and apple for dessert this evening. Yum. Tomorrow will be going for a serious walk with Marys friends Jenny and Shirly, something that has become a bit of a tradition on my visits home. Few dogs will be accompanying us this year though as Marys are now too elderly and arthritic to cope. Hope the weather holds.
