Now for something completely different. Since hubby had a heart attack, we are passionate about becoming more healthy and sharing our secrets with others. This is healthy & nutritious and is LIGHT for those fasting this month... My Home-made recipe : Watermelon smoothie A simple recipe to rev up your fat-burning engines and boost your metabolism! The secret ingredient is cayenne pepper! Coupled with the added goodness of Oranges (loaded with Vit C which turns fat into fuel) Apples which are rich in fiber and quercetin which boosts immune system And of course watermelon which is rich in anti-oxidants , promotes both heart and eye health to mention a few. Its easy to make, cheap and healthy too. Ingredients: 10 medium sized oranges 1 medium sized watermelon ( seeded and cut into small chunks) 5 Apples (diced) ¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper or to your taste Extract the juice from the oranges and discard the seeds. But retain the fleshy part with the juice Throw in watermelon, apples, cayenne pepper into smoothie maker. Blend all together till smooth. Add the orange juice and blend together again till properly mixed. Done!
