Now that I am older and a parent myself..I realize all of the things my parents did for me that I always took for granted. Running to school to bring our lunch when we forgot it, getting out of work early when we were sick, the laundry, cooking, making sure our homework was done (and getting grounded when it wasnt), and making sure we always had what we needed to get by are just a FEW of the things my parents did for me. My parents may be a little rough around the edges but I need to start giving them a lot more credit for all of the great things they did do. Besides they did raise three very successful kids and that is something to be proud of. As a parent now, I realize how hard it is and you have to forgive them for not being perfect..because no one is.
