ANOTHER UPDATE ON MY HUSBAND BILL….His latest MRI has shown that there is still bleeding in his brain where the strokes occurred, so everything has been pushed back. His doctor’s don’t want ANY BLEEDING showing up on his scans before doing his Carotid Artery surgery, (carotid endarterectomy) so now they want him off of his blood thinner, and all blood pressure medications. His neurologist doesnt want to see him until January 9, 2015, giving the stroke areas in his frontal lobes more time to heal. At this appointment he will request another referral from our insurance company to have another MRI done. If that scan proves that the bleeding has stopped we will then finally be able to move forward with scheduling his carotid endarterectomy surgery. Hopefully, by the later part of January we can get this accomplished. We have also had opportunity to speak with his Surgeon who has now viewed the Angiogram CD and told us that Bill does need a new heart valve and THREE bypasses. This surgery could follow as close as two weeks after his carotid endarterectomy surgery. There have been so many of you who have been asking about Bill, with no reply from me for quite some time. I am sorry for not answering your concerns, but Ive just been so busy keeping up with a million follow-up appointments with four different doctors, and newly scheduled procedures. I truly feel like a one legged dog in an ass kicking contest! LMAO Then to top it all off Bill was admitted back into the hospital on the 13th with pulmonary issues! They had him on an antibiotic drip, prednisone, and breathing treatments for four days. I got him back home yesterday. I’m trying my best to get into the Christmas spirit; maybe now that I know his treatment has been pushed into the mid to later part of January I can change my focus and invite Christmas into my heart, finally.
