Now that the election is over, I would like to share a video posted by my friend and partner Jim Minneo. As a successful business owner and conservative, I have often been challenged over the years by people (who often pay little or no taxes) complaining that “the wealthy” need to step up and pay their “fair share.” While I realize that some people, (the young, elderly, and desperate) need to ride in the wagon, to demonize those pulling the wagon and referring to them as greedy is simply a tool used by those running for office to get the votes of those riding in the wagon. Consider this... we all receive the exact same access to schools, police, and government services, but the actual numbers of who actually covers the bill is stunning. Last year, CNBC reported this… “The Rich do not pay the most taxes, they pay ALL the taxes.” cnbc/id/101264757#. According to their report based on the internal revenue service numbers, here is who is paying their “ fare share.” Lowest 20% -6.2% Second 20% -2.9% Middle 20% 2.9% Fourth 20% 13.3% Top 20% 92.9% Something to think about next time you hear a political add talking about those “greedy rich people.” Carry on…
