Now this is interesting...Albert Pike a 33rd degree Scottish rite Mason and general of the confederate army...after the Civil War, Pike was found guilty of treason and jailed, only to be pardoned by fellow Freemason President Andrew Johnson on April 22, 1866, A 33rd degree Mason, he was one of the founding fathers, and head of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, being the Grand Commander of North American Freemasonry from 1859 and retained that position until his death in 1891. In 1869, he was a top leader in the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Keep in mind this man was fore father, a general of the confederate army and he was honored with a statue in Washington Dc Albert Pike is the only Confederate military officer or figure to be honored with an outdoor statue in Washington, D.C. The monument can be found in Judiciary Square. This bronze standing figure of Brigadier General Pike honors him as an author, poet, jurist, orator, scholar, soldier, philanthropist, philosopher, and 33 degree Freemason. why and how did this man become a person of influence in this country....and it is obvious why this man is not talked about in history that much...but they had no problem making a statue of him....and yes you read that right he was a leader in the kkk,...of course that part was conveniently left out on the statue....he also wrote the Morals and dogma which is a sort of bible for the Scottish rite free masons....he is the one responsible for adopting the doctrine of Lucifer to Scottish rite Free masonry.
