Number of people exposed during the latest attacks on Gaza is staggering really. Number of so called international activists who are pro-Palestine, claim that what has been happening in Syria is a civil war, and that it promotes disunity amongst us Arabs and Muslims, and that Assad is wanted toppled because he is against Israel. Is it the same Assad that has not fired a single bullet in occupied Goulan heights since over 30 years? The same peaceful secular Syria whose army killed a sum of over 40,000 civilians in Aleppo and Hama betwen 1979 and 1982 and forced tens of thousands into eternal exile? The same Assad who has been torturing civilians in prisons since their rising to power, electrocuting them, burning them by acid, poking their eyes out, raping them? The same Assad who has destroyed Syria in 4 years, killed 170,000 civilians, forced more than 3,000,000 civilians to become refugees in nearby countries, raped more than 7,500 women in prisons and during house raids? The same Assad?! My God, every single time I think that I have seen everything from this world, I get shocked once again. Yes, ISIS is in Syria, but not because of the revolution or because they are resisting for the sake of Syrians, but because they are pro-Assad, helping Assad take control over liberated areas, killing activists and doctors and extrajudicially executing civilians. Both ISIS and Hezballah are with Assad, hand in hand, killing Syrians and murdering the revolution. May Syrias and Palestines martyrs rest in peace and both oppression and occupation end. If God just burns this world down, I can totally understand why. حسبي الله العلي الجّبار.
