Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Gastroenterology Altoona, PA Full time certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant position in well established, respected and very busy gastroenterology group with great working environment and excellent opportunities for mentoring with 7 physicians collaborating in Altoona, PA. Guaranteed base salary with bonus potential. One outpatient clinic location along with hospital work. This opportunity comes with a great working environment and excellent opportunities for mentoring with 7 other non-physician practitioners. Experience a plus, but new grads are welcome. You will be working with a group that has an outpatient clinic, endoscopy center, and work in area hospitals, making this a great opportunity to work with the best. Responsibilities will include inpatient floors and consultations and outpatient clinic coverage. Possibility to develop position into exclusive hospitalist position if preferable. Responsibilities Include: * In/Out Patient visits OR Hospitalist only * Prepare daily progress notes * Review labs and diagnostic tests * Address any patient problems or concerns as they arise * Be available to address any family concerns as they arise * Be available to nursing staff and requests * Attend provider meetings * Other duties as mentored and communicated Qualifications: * Completion of NP/PA program recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania * Board certification required * Previous gastroenterology care experience a plus, but not required * Will consider training new graduate eager to treat gastroenterology patients * Must be effective and outgoing and possess excellent clinical and interpersonal skills Compensation & Benefits: * Guaranteed salary dependent upon experience * Health insurance based on current benefit package * 4 weeks PTO for vacation, sick, personal and CME time * CME/Expense allowance * Additional bonus compensation package based on productivity * Malpractice coverage * Safe Harbor 401k retirement plan Applicants only.
