***OBITUARIES*** JAMIE HOLCOMB Jamie Lee Morse Holcomb, 27, of Whitewater, Wis., formerly of Bloom City, Wis., passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at University Hospital in Madison. She was born in Viroqua, Wis., on Feb. 25, 1987, to Anthony and Tammy (Voegeli) Morse. She married Eric D. Holcomb of Readstown, Wis., on May 15, 2007. She attended Kickapoo Area Schools. She loved her children, family, and friends. She also had a love for riding horses and caring for animals. She enjoyed being outdoors and was a free spirit whose smile was contagious. Jamie is survived by her husband, Eric, of Whitewater; two children, Angelica Marie and Katrina Lynn of Viola, Wis.; a brother, Cole J. (Shelby) Stedman of Reedsburg, Wis.; two sisters, Shyla M. (Ben Alexander) of Viola and Crista DeLany of Wichita, Kan.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother. Services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Sime Funeral Home in Readstown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until time of services. Pastor Lancz Lorenz will officiate. CARMEL STALSBERG Carmel Stalsberg, 69, of Viroqua, Wis., passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Bland-Bekkadal Hospice Center in Viroqua. She was born on Oct. 8, 1944, in Viroqua to Merle and Leota (Whitt) Hadley. She attended school in Beloit, Wis. She farmed on Stump Ridge for many years. She also worked in restaurants and at the Green Giant plant in Ripon, Wis. She loved Elvis, dancing, country music, drinking her tea in the morning, The Price is Right, her soap operas, and gossip. She is survived by four daughters, Robin Wells of Viroqua, Tammy Clark of Viroqua, Andrea (Roger) Hanson of Viroqua, and Carrie (John) Sauer of LaCrosse, Wis.; four brothers, Raymond Hadley of Viroqua, Larry (Lynn) Hadley of Soldiers Grove, Wis., Conrad Butch (Barb) Hadley of Eastman, Wis., and Peter (Doris) Hadley of Beloit; two sisters, Goldie Hooverson of Viroqua, and Barbara Kelly of Viroqua; 14 grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Scott, Amber, Matthew, Anthony, Melinda, Chelse, Kyle, Daniel, James, Zachory, John Jr., and Thaianne; five great-grandchildren, Mayling, Tyshawn, Jaiden, Kyla, and Jaxson; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Blues. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Robert; three brothers, Roland, Hiram, and infant Richard; two sisters, Linda Erickson, and Fern Parrish. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 23, at Peace Lutheran Church in Readstown. The Rev. Kevin Gross officiated. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.
