OBITUARY: Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; John 11:25 Xavierites mourn in bitter sadness to receive the sad news of sudden demise of our beloved Rev. Fr. Joseph Cyril Rajkumar, SJ, whom we knew as Br. Cyril, who was with us at St. Xaviers Palizi. Fr. Cyril had been serving at Maweit, Meghalaya, as the Principal of the Jesuit school there, and had gone to Guwahati on work. This morning he was getting ready to return to Maweit. He had his breakfast and was walking out. He collapsed at the staircase. He was rushed to St Johns Hospital next door. He became unconscious. All efforts to revive him did not succeed and he passed away at around 8 a.m. this morning. The funeral will be held on 29th, Saturday, at the Jesuit novitiate, Shillong. God of power and mercy, you have made death itself the gateway to eternal life. Look with love on our beloved Fr Cyril, and make him one with Your Son in His suffering and death, that, sealed with the blood of Christ, he may come before you free from sin. Amen. We love you Fr.
