And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and whatshall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many (Mathew24:1-5).For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect (Mathew24:24)…..In these scriptures, the Lord is not only suggesting that people will literally claim that they are Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The word Christ is translated from the Greek word kris-toess or Christos, meaning “the anointed one” so what Jesus Christ is actually saying is that many carnal (unregenerate) men and women will claim that they are anointed men and women of God, some will claim to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some, pastors and teachers and so forth. The declaration “There shall arise false Christs” also signify that there will be many false anointed people, which indicate false Christians and churches. Now, these prophecies have been fulfilled, because inthe world today there are many self-acclaimed,anointed men and women of God who are building their own kingdoms and empires using the name of Christ. It is possible that ninety nine percent of the acclaimed present day church leaders are false. There are also many false tongue speaking acclaimed Pentecostal believers with not a single fruit of the Holy Spirit…
