OCT 29-This Day in Beatles history: 1966-This was a very good year for the Beatles and their fans as the Fab Four continued their chart and radio domination. The album Yesterday and Today was in its 19th week on the chart, including 5 weeks at No.1 During that nearly 5 month chart run, songs from the LP such as Yesterday, Day Tripper, We Can Work It Out and Drive My Car were all over the American airwaves. Demonstrating the continuing popularity of the band, when Yesterday and Today was knocked off the top of the chart, it was replaced at No.1 by the latest Beatles album, Revolver. That album was even MORE successful, spending 6 weeks at No.1 and consistently ranking as one of the greatest albums of all time...1967-The Beatles spent the morning filming scenes in London while traveling by bus working on the upcoming movie, Magical Mystery Tour...1996-The Beatles Anthology 3, containing mostly alternate session versions of their White Album songs, was released on CD...
