OFFICIAL RESPONSES FROM CANADA, USA, FRANCE AND BELGIUM ON DRC PEACE Regarding peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo, this morning I have had the opportunity to speak to the offices of the: 1. President of the United States of America , 2. Prime Minister of Canada , 3. President of the Republic of France , 4. Prime Minister of Belgium I have been told by USA officials that President Joseph Kabila has been warned to do not change the constitution to allow him ran for life time presidency. I have also been told that USA is working with the Congolese people to make sure that he does not extend his presidency for another term. They condemn in the strongest terms attacks on peaceful demonstrators. In November I was told the same massage in my meetings in Washington DC. We need timely actions. It is now! The office of the Prime Minister of Canada is soon getting back to me regarding the official position of Canada and it may as well be communicated to the general public. Fingers are crossed. The position of France is that President Joseph Kabila should stop killing peaceful demonstrators (civilians) and I am kindly asking France to condemn Kabila’s actions of brutality in the strongest terms. Belgium holds the same position as USA and this was communicated to me also in my last meetings in Brussels.
