OGUN APC CRISIS: THE BEGGING SYNDROME: Recently the Gov of Ogun state HE Sen Ibikunle Amosun FCA called on people to help him beg Aremo Osoba .Well he may have his reasons but some of us have issues with that and generally with the begging syndrome in Nigeria.For instance,a Senator,Rep,Assemblyman is expected to beg a Gov for ticket.I see this as one of the greatest absurdities.Are we really ready for democracy in Nigeria?When a Gov hijacks a party structure and every other person is expected to go and beg for return ticket,whats that?Meanwhile the Gov himself is an aspirant who also wants to seek reelection!!!The only edge is that he has a deep pocket and resources at his disposal.But should that make everybody to be subservient to an individual in a democracy,in party matters?The Gov is the CEO of the state and can run as he wishes,no problem with that.But party?No.He is not the owner.A political party belongs to all,the market women,the artisans,the students ,the workers etc,even the beggar,everyone.Its an association.In the present National Assembly where I belong,the House of Reps has been able to stand out because we refuse to be under Mr President.Thats the way democracy shd be practiced.The Parliament is designed to check the executive arm.But what do we see in this country?Governors have taken over state Assemblies.The Gov dictates who will be Speaker and so on.What manner of democracy?Where is the independence of the Legislature?Can they truly check the excesses of the Governors under that circumstances?No,and thats the dilemma of our system.Thats the reason a Gov is equating everything to himself.It sickens when you see Assemblymen running after a State Gov.its sad.The Assembly which is supposed to be the BOSS of the Gov in the actual sense.Under the begging syndrome the Gov will be begged to give tickets to aspirants that catches his fancy to represent the people in the State Assembly.What manner of representation!!! As for Gov Amosun,I sincerely feel that his begging syndrome is just mere political talk.We all know the issues in Ogun APC.Is not about Osoba.How did we get to where we are?Has the Gov carried stakeholders along?Has the Gov held a single parliamentary consultative meeting since inception as done in other states.? Gov Fashola meets with Lagos NASS members regularly .Gov Aregbesola meet with Osun NASS members every month.Is my Gov running an all inclusive system.? Even those in the cabinet where were they in 2011 when party members were carrying ACN brooms up and down in Ogun state.The socalled SIA sycophants now abusing Osoba and misleading the Gov,what was their contribution to his victory in 2011?.Projects distribution,how equitable?What about employments,empowerment,education,health services,rural development (am a rural man)???etc etc .Many many issues.Who divided the party from day one along SIA/old ACN lines.? Has Mr Gov been the father to all as it shd be? I recall i advised him on this in 2011.Why so much discrimination in the same party? What is the position of the state Deputy Gov Adesegun who is the representative of the entire Ogun East 9 LGs in his administration? NewsPaper reader!!! Whats is that?Other SW states assign portfolios to their DGs.Why the vindictiveness? What about the majority of party members the few intolerant,nonaccomodating SIA members at the LG levels abuse,harrass,attack,maim claiming they have the Gov behind them? The people conscripted from PDP to take over the party at the LGs at the expense of genuine party members,where were they in 2011?Are they not the same people who worked tirelessly against you?How did the APC excos emerge?Were there any congresses? Who wrote their names and on whose order?And I thought they said Osoba and the irrelevant few.!! So they have now become relevant?2015 is approaching ! Hmmmmmm.Your Excellency,this is not about begging Osoba.You know The Atiku committeee met with NASS members in Abuja and i was at the meeting from 9pm till 3 am and all issues were raised.Aremo Osoba was also in attendance?Only you has the solution to Ogun APC crisis.You know what to do.Do away with those sycophants now.Take the bull by the horn.Its your decision take it today.Osoba is not the issue.You are the issue.A political tsunami is on the way in Ogun state soon.Act before its too late.God bless Ogun state.God bless us all.
