OH MY GOD; WHICH BLOOD THIS MAN IS USING FOR A JAMBOREE? BIAFRANS BLOOD? MAY CHUKWU ABIAMA NEVER FORGIVE JUDGE U: UWAZURUIKE WORKING FOR THE PEACE AND UNITY OF NIGERIA BECAUSE HE IS A TRAITOR OF THE WORST KIND. USING THE NAME OF BIAFRA TO CUT A DEAL WITH ENEMY IS THE WORST KIND OF BETRAYAL......If you are for Biafra you must remain resolute the way we are. Here is the proof once again that this criminal is indeed working against Biafra restoration. : Uwazuruike, Faseun, Al-Mustapha and Dokubo’s alliance to defend democracy BY EVEREST EZIHE, Owerri Worried by the war drums beating in Nigeria in the run-up to 2015 general elections, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Alhaji Hamza Al-Mustapha, Alhaji Asari Dokubo of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Front (NDPVF), and Dr. Fredrick Fasheun of Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) and 23 other notable freedom-fighters and human rights activists have resolved to work for the peace and unity of the nation despite all the odds. They stated this in a four paged communiqué they all signed and titled-`Owerri Declaration for Unity` which was the aftermath of a two day close door meeting they held in Owerri over the weekend. According to them, “Conscious of the challenges facing us as a nation in the field of unity. Aware of the misguided efforts of some disgruntled, self centered and unpatriotic citizens to continue manipulating our polity to their advantage, through causing confusion and hoodwinking the public. “Desiring to right the wrongs and continue with our corporate peaceful co-existence as a nation, where freedom of expression and association can be guaranteed. Determined not to allow hawks and merchants of despair to use or manipulate us for the sake of their self aggrandizements through causing mayhem. “Grounded with the fact that a nation requires peace, stability and harmony amongst its citizens to design and achieve any meaningful development. “Yearning to chat a new course for a solution to our multi-faceted problems and give citizens of our country a sense of belonging. We the under signed, on behalf of ourselves and various organizations cutting across the geo-graphical entity called Nigeria; having reviewed issues on ground, deliberated extensively, focused on the future of ourselves, children and the ones yet unborn agreed to the following: We affirm the sanctity of the principles of justice, equity and fair play, as such, everything must be done to ensure adherence to the principles to the benefit of all”. “There are problems within and amongst our people but that these problems will be treated within the context of Nigeria and the principles of conflict resolution employed to attain a solution. That from today, nobody would be allowed to use them to cause disaffection or mayhem among innocent citizens of Nigeria no matter how highly placed, influential or wealthy”. “Any attempt towards creating ugly scenarios would not only be rebuffed but exposed including personalities behind such dastardly acts. We warn politicians who are bent on causing disaffection and or cause confusion in the polity to be cautions and stop their actions. They should note that Nigeria is greater than any individual. The interest of our nation should and must supersede any primordial sentiments, be it ethnic, religious or regional. The progress of a nation is hinged on the ability of its youths to be functional, as such everything must be done to ensure that our youths are carried along and issues of their future taken seriously”. Nigerians should and must feel free to go about their legitimate businesses and reside in any place of their choice as citizens without fear, harassment, intimidation or any threat to their lives and property. Government in discharging its primary responsibility must provide security to its citizens across the nation”. We call on all organizations known and hidden, that harbor grudge which leads to altercations and mayhem to sheath their swords and join our quest for a new Nigeria where the rights of every citizen will be guaranteed and protected”, they resolved. Among the 23 other notable organizations and personalities that signed the Unity Declaration are Alhaji Ibrahim Wiya (Northern Youths Assembly), Mr. Madu Musa Gwary (Northern Youth Development Initiative), Comrade Henry Nwabueze of National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ambassador Fanny Amun, Sam M. Darma (ACAC), Alhaji Yerima Shettima (AYCF) and Comrade Yusuf El-Amoke (NAF).
