OH MY GOODNESS! The Latin Mass tonight was Heavenly!!! First of all the co-cathedral is beautiful and focusing on the suspended Crucifix is a religious experience itself. Then you add a double choir as great as this one and you are in Heaven. Everything was in Latin except the readings, the homily and the general intercessions. Everything was sung or chanted that includes our responses. When you hear chant or other genre of Catholic church music sung in Latin, you will always want to hear the Latin. Lots of incense, bells during the consecration, and acolytes. Receiving the body and blood of Christ while these excellent vocalist sang in Latin was again Heavenly. Very moving. This is by far the greatest experience I have had since 1994! Yes, 1994. Thank you Wayne Durham for taking me tonight. It was great catching up after 40 years. I look forward to our next outing.
