Hello friends, Happy New Year! My name is Mark Tabata. I am a Gospel preacher working with the Hazard Home church of Christ (608 Dawahare Drive, Hazard Ky, 41701), and the Flatwoods Road church of Christ (55 Flatwoods Rd Corbin KY 40701). Throughout my life, many of my friends have expressed different ideas about the subject of miracles. Some are skeptical of the Bible, and claim that miracles are impossible. They say that the miracles recorded in the Bible are fairy tales written by superstitious people. Some claim that miracles still continue, and that religious leaders such as Benny Hinn are true Prophets of God. They teach that they have witnessed miracles in their church groups and in their lives. Still others believe that the miracles of the Bible were authentic, but that miracles no longer occur (although they believe God still supernaturally answers prayer). Well, I have spent a long time investigating these matters and have put together a series of lessons on the following subjects: Lesson One: What Is A Miracle? Understanding the Biblical definition of the word miracle is the place to start! Lesson Two: Are Bible Miracles Authentic? How do we know that the miracles of the Bible actually happened ? Could someone have just added the miraculous stories into the Bible? This lesson will focus especially on archaeological and other extra-biblical evidences of the authenticity of the miracles of the Bible. Lesson Three: Why Do Miracles Occur, According To The Bible ? I have read of some religious people saying that miracles of God resulted in people with cavities suddenly receiving gold fillings. Why does the Bible say miracles happen? Lesson Four: How Miraculous Gifts Are Bestowed In The Christian Age: Part One-Holy Spirit Baptism. The miraculous gifts of the Bible were not random and utterly spontaneous: they were purposely given and purposely bestowed. In the Christian Age, one of the ways that this bestowal occurs is through Holy Spirit baptism. What does the Bible teach about this subject? Lesson Five: How Miraculous Gifts Are Bestowed In The Christian Age: Part Two-Laying On Of The Apostles Hands. The only other way that the Bible teaches miraculous gifts are bestowed is through the laying on of the Apostles hands. But what was an Apostle? Are there any today? This will be the main study of this lesson. Lesson Six: The Cessation Of Miraculous Gifts. Does the Bible teach that miracles will cease? If so, when? The early Christians outside of the first century mention the miraculous gifts. What do they say about the subject? Lesson Seven: False Signs And Wonders. The Bible teaches that the apostles and ministers of Satan can work lying wonders; yet the true miracles of the Bible are always shown to be superior. There are false prophets and apostles who pretend to be ministers of Christ. I have personally encountered and studied with witches, satanists, Druids, and apostles who say they have the miraculous gifts of The Lord. Learn what the Bible teaches about these subjects. We will send you these lessons absolutely FREE OF CHARGE. We can send them through mail or through email. At the end of each lesson is a series of questions. You can send the answers to me (via email, text, call, Facebook messenger, or postal mail) and we will send you the next one in the series.
