OK, I have played this song at Xmas every year for as long as I can remember, this song always bought back the truth of what Xmas and life is for me. This year has been hard, the later part even harder.....therein my gift is the gift I give of myself, to the people that flow in and out of mine. I dont do presents ...my presence is my gift… in the hope that some of my finer qualities rub off:-)This year, my hope is, as always, that the world will be a better place, that we can all love one another and be respectful of our differences, allowing the brotherhood of man to raise its head, for us to raise a glass, in silent prayer - honouring all those who are no longer with us, what their lives stood for, the sacrifices they made, the lessons they instilled in us ....in the missing, we realize the emptiness of things we took for granted, words we didnt say....let’s HOPE for a better tomorrow, with the strength and lessons of our yesterdays.
