OK Ladies - youve probably heard your pump instructor talk about upping your weights to change your body, or maybe it was a GRIT Captain telling you to go harder, or even your PT ....and youre thinking Why? I want to be able to walk tomorrow. Well - the thing is in order for a muscle to grow, strength to be gained, performance to increase, or for any similar improvement to occur, your body has to be forced to adapt to a tension above and beyond what it has previously experienced. You have to progressively overload your body. Read more below. Now - go out and add an extra half a kilo or a kilo to your bar next time youre in.......or ask at Reception for an appointment with one of our fantastic gym staff or PTs and they can chat to you more about it.
