OK, as promised, a new thread, coming as a spin-off of Michael Spittlers science post. Angus, you said science tries to disprove God, and I agree. I am a Spiritual Humanist, ordained and all, and even though I dont believe they should be, lots of them claim atheism...weird. Anyway, we have a strong faith in science, and my point to all of the people who claim science disproves God is this: Where did that come from? If you take me clear back to the Big Bang, where did that material come from? Where did matter, which can be neither created, nor destroyed, um...e from? Now most of you reading this know I dont subscribe to the standard Biblical God, but we sure havent ruled out a Creator yet in my book. Something had to create the matter we have. Something had to introduce the first molecule. SOMETHING had to start this in motion, even if it was by creating the thing that sparked it all. And before I am bombared with theories on where this stuff came from (my fav is another dimension), remember my question, cause even there it stands: WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!?!
