OK, lets check some quotes by the President... President Obama, - TopicsExpress

OK, lets check some quotes by the President... President Obama, If you look, every president – Democrat and Republican – over decades has done the same thing as I mentioned in my remarks today. George H. W. Bush, about 40% of the undocumented persons, at the time, were provided a similar kind of relief as a consequence of executive action. FALSE. The Bush administration estimated the number of illegal immigrants eligible for the program at 100,000. Just 46,821 illegal immigrants ended up applying for benefits. The Washington Post estimated the number of illegal immigrants in the country at that time to be 3.5 million. Do the math, the PINO is a liar. ...every president - Democrat and Republican - over decades has done the same thing.... FALSE. The President is referring to the actions taken by G.H.W. Bush and W.J. Clinton during their presidencies and supposedly R. Reagan (over decades, true enough I suppose...). In fact their actions were clarifying in conjunction with Congress on signed legislation as to how to operate... The current executive actions (he has not signed an EO, btw, probably afraid of the I word) are creating new actions specifically NOT outlined in either pieces of legislation (both the House and the Senate have differing bills sitting in the opposite chambers). So, basically the President thinks he is a king, or emperor, or monarch of some kind... perhaps a petty third world dictator. I would expect some unconstitutional BS like this from a 3rd world banana republic, not the oldest Republic on the planet still in existence. So you dont have to look it up... Responsibility of the President - Article II, Sec 3, clause 5. ...he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, Responsibility of the Congress - Article I, Sec 1, clause 1 ...All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, Responsibility of the Congress specific to immigration - Article I Sec 8, clause 4 ...To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States; Nowhere in Article II does the President have the authority to create laws... specifically, nowhere in Article II does the word immigration or reference to it appear. Nowhere in Article I does it say anything about the President and legislation, other than in Article I, Sec. 7, clause 3 where his veto power is described, and how the Congress can go around that veto (2/3 of each house). Ladies and Gentlemen... we have a person in the office of the President, who is in clear violation of the Constitution, and apparently thinks you are too stupid to know it. Apparently, he does not care. As to his Constitutional Professor status... just aint so. He conducted one lecture per semester at Loyola as a visiting associate, to justify his stipend. One lecture per semester. Not a class, not a grade producing lecture... just an informational lecture. Could have been on how to usurp the Constitution for all anyone knows. I know for a fact, every Senior Drill Sergeant in the US Army and every Senior Drill Instructor in the US Marine Corps, and every TAC Officer at West Point conducts a similar lecture and others every cycle (every 8 weeks)... I know I did for 11 cycles. Does that make me a Constitutional expert???? I doubt it. I would think you would have to have argued a case before the Supreme Court, win or lose, or clerked for one of the Supreme Court Justices, or perhaps one of the Appellate Justices to get that moniker. STOP DRINKING THE COOL AID.... It is killing us. I dont know his motivations, but, what ever his reasons... this has got to stop. If not stopped, we are doomed to a third rate banana republic status, or a parliamentary system where a Prime Minister basically says how things will be. Held my tongue long enough. Write your Representative, and your Senators... tell them dont burn the house down, but do stop this BS. Create law, that does the trick. Let the President veto what he feels is necessary... but do not allow him to take power that is not his. Take it to the SCOTUS if necessary.
