OK so I liked Vicki Dwayne Stokes status BEFORE I read the Like for you number part, and she gave me a 10!!! LOL I am not sure that I can think of 10 random things people do not know about me, as I am a pretty complex individual, but I am going to give it my best shot. 1. I think the world of Vicki and Dwayne because they were a rock for my parents when my Dad got hurt. I will ALWAYS have unwavering and undying love and commitment to them both. You never forget that kind of goodness, and I mean that for all the people who really stood out in the midst of that tragedy, there were quite a few. I get asked what to me has to be one of the silliest questions in the world, WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO? (In other words, why do you volunteer so much, and give so much, and the really funny part is without pay?) My Father is the answer. I am my Fathers daughter. I am his legacy. My attitudes are very much like his, and for the people who were close to him, my Daddy would do anything for them. That act was reciprocated when he needed help the most. There is no way in life you can ever pay back that kind of love and generosity. I am most certain that people do not actually expect you to try, but I will never forget those who were there, and those who cared enough to be there until the end, and that changed me for the rest of my life. If you were one of those people, you can consider yourself to be in the same category. #stillandalwayswillbeDaddysbabygirl 2. People assume to know who I am. They really have no idea. It turns out, as it has been proven many times over the years, I turn doubters into believers. If I am underestimated, God always provides the way for me to achieve the goal. 3. In a few days I will turn 40, and one of the most personal accomplishments I feel I have made in life, is at turning 40, I am not only the best I have ever been before in my personal and professional life, I am also half the woman I used to be physically. I will be entering my 40s better than I was at 20 by far! I will post the pictures to prove it later LOL 4. My husband is my best friend, and I chose the people I am intimately close to very carefully. My friends are far and few in between, and I know who my #truesoldiers are, and for them, I would do anything I could. 5. I do have a bit of unexpected rules I live by (Luke 9:5), Jesus told his disciples when he commanded them to go into the world and spread the gospel, if people do not welcome you, shake the dust from your feet, as a testimony against them..... the other verse I passionately live by is Matthew 7:6, Give not that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. That pretty much speaks for itself. If the message is not received, wipe the dust from your feet, and keep on going, and never cast your pearls before swine, to me this means do not give to people what they are not capable of receiving. Only God knows who you are in your heart of hearts, and when you give that part of you away to people, if they cannot accept it for the gift it is, then they are not worthy of having it. If everyone lived by this, there would be so many less injured people emotionally. Everyone who is a child of God, is extremely special, you are the daughter or son of the Most High God, and that deems you a Prince or Princess, and you should hold yourself as that. You are worthy because of him, you are precious to him, and you are made perfect through him. He created you, and you are designed by him to be exactly who he meant for you to be, so it is my belief that no one has the right to condemn you for who you are in him, or who you are as you are growing through him. They were not chosen to live the life you were, so how can they judge? This rule applies to everyone in my life, no matter who they are to me, even family. 6. Contrary to popular belief, I do not have an actual agenda set for the future. It has taken a long time for me to learn to just follow the Lords guidance in my life, and this is another very simple issue, I simply follow the Lord wherever he sends me. It took a long time for me to stop being a Jonah and just learn to go boldly in the name of the Lord, so anything I ever do is going to be on his timing, and not my own, and according to his will. #realtalk I will have what the Lord wants me to have, and that is a pretty simple concept. 7. I love to shop, but I love to shop wisely. This would be a combination of both of my Parents attributes. LOL One held on to money and always had a stash, whereas the other always gave and bought very generously. 8. I am a VERY humble person, and I know that nothing in my life has come easily, but only through the goodness of a forgiving God, and I am only here because of his plan for my life. Every good thing that I possess or have has been only through him, to include my little family that I am so in love with, and they come second in my life, first to the God that gave them to me. 9. My husband, oddly enough, thinks EXACTLY like I do in most cases. 10. I am genuinely a very loving, caring, and generous person, until it is taken for a weakness, or taken advantage of. I am a combination of many people who have influenced my life with their own greatness. My Grandfather whom I adored, My Grandmothers who were exact opposites of each other, (I am told often by the people who knew them, I carry attributes from them both), and again, I am very much like my Father. Not only do I look like him, I carry his personality, although it has been calmed down quite a bit, just like he did as he got older. I am proud of who those people created me to be, and I am honored to be so much like them. I also have an amazing set of Aunts who whether they know it or not, taught me through example, by making our lives so special as children, how to do it for my own children, and that is something I will always hold dear to my heart, as their value to me is worth more than gold.
