OK, so in case you werent already aware, Im competing in this years London Marathon. Well, when I say competing, I mean Ill be running the 26.4 mile course, I didnt see my name mentioned on the London news this evening when they covered the story of who might be giving Mo Farrah a run for his money this year but none the less, Im taking part and training really hard, but with 82 days to go until the race I know Ive got a lot more miles to cover over the next few months until the big day when I can eventually hang up my running shoes, and let my aching legs and blistered feet recover! Anyway...Cutting to the chase...The reason Im posting this is because I really need your help. Im running to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Charity and by sponsoring me to take part in this years race youll be helping raise desperately needed funds for research into identifying a cure for the disease. Its a cause thats close to my heart and Im delighted to be running on their behalf in this years event. I have a target figure of £1,500 and any sponsorship you can offer big or small will be very much appreciated. Also if any of you are able to make it to London on April 13th I know a friendly face in the crowd and an encouraging shout of support will make a very welcome distraction from the aching legs and sore feet.
