OK so with the recent weeks we witnessed the David (The Australian National Imams Council) vs Goliath (NSW Counter-Terror Squad head, Assistant Commissioner Peter Dein) media frenzy where the Imams were slapped in The face by the Assistant Commissioner by deliberately accusing them in the Australian newspaper of ... not done enough to discourage young Muslims from joining the Syrian Jihad, adding further that the the community is very passive about the problem. And the fact that the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs website still only references Muslims as the modern form of terrorism: Australias security environment has changed. We are now directly threatened by a new kind of terrorism. It is transnational and it is perpetrated in the name of a Muslim extremist cause.... - How many Ramadan Iftars and Eid Dinners will the community sell-out to now by attending? Its one thing to negotiate changes to the extremely Islamophobic agendas behind closed doors, but its another for us to casually accept for them to host our important religious events when they just keep on slapping us so explicitly. There has been way too much focus by the Government and Law Enforcement (Federal & State) where they seem to be instrumental to allow Muslims build their own communities, but under their guidance being the preferred method. We need to have some guts and integrity in the matter seriously, instead of playing the good Muslim citizen card scrambling for their worthless bread crumbs hidden behind such Islamophobic agendas. If they want to build relations and engagement with the Muslim community (which is a noble cause), they really need to cease humiliating us where it counts most, and we need to also cease being passive about receiving it. Reject those Ramadan and Eid invitations so they know we are hurting. Work behind closed doors to be instrumental in beneficial changes, I will be the first to assist but I have no expertise in these matters. We certainly need to send some type of message and cut those unnecessary strings that only bring about more humiliation to our community. We just seem to be readily accepting of their worthless breadcrumbs. The Prophet (saws) would never have been so passive to such consistent humiliation. Critics to this FB status, leave me alone LOL. I am entitled to have my own opinion that is not reflective of any organisation or group. I am a Muslim first, inshaAllah.
