OLD WHITE GUYS CAN DANCE TOO.....COUNT ON IT... Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.~ Maya Angelou ;) Isnt that the truth? For me, I have to say, my success includes the fact that I can dance....in more ways than one....This morning I am feeling that love of this life I live, and my successes? They seem to be right here...right now...with me for a change.... In true SUIT & TIE fashion, Ive had a great week of ups and downs working the first Christmas party circuit at the museum, but last night....wow...it just had all the right moves. The past few nights Ive let Lance loose a little and started to dance behind the bar to the djs spins, and I have ended up being dragged from behind it, to dance with the clients as they celebrate...what fun...The best part? I find out I still have it when it comes to the floor, and Im not afraid to show it anymore..... Of course. Im no Justin T., but I guess thats ok with me....I can accept that fact about who I am, because I have a few things that he doesnt...or at least I like to think I do, that is. Regardless of the outcomes in this new way of living of mine, the one thing that I have enjoyed more than anything else here in Alaska is being able to be me without reservation....anywhere....and anytime I want. I love, love, love being so damn happy all the time...and were just getting started.... It is hard work without a doubt, but for some reason I dont seem to mind much, because I feel so good about all of it...I get so many compliments from strangers all the time, how can it not do a brother good?. I even landed the best catch of them all....my Cindy. Tomorrow is her birthday, and she has added to so much happiness to my life up here...Im truly a lucky man...I really never pictured that my Alaska could be filled with so much beauty so quickly. They dont have a quarter of the things I get to experience up here daily on the travel brochures let me tell you.... I could probably go on and on about all of it, but I dont want to sound to over bearing when I share about what its like for me here...but I wanted you to know....Alaska....she rocks! I guess if I had to end up in a strange land, far from hat I once knew, this place....is the best place for me. I know they say that nothing is ever guaranteed to us in this life, but lately, Ive found out something kind of weird that is true as well....You get what it is that you give, and for me that has to mean one thing in the grand scale of things....I can be happy...everyday... and its also gives me a reason to keep dancing....because the music?
