OM NAMO BHAGAVATE VASUDEVAYA: LET US ALL ASK OURSELF - Are we hAppy or always sAd…??? The essence of understanding the divine words of Lord KRSNA in The Srimad Bhagavad Gita, must then really reflect on our Face, since they say that: our FACE is the index of our Mind and if we try to gradually train our intelligence, to satisfy our Mind, to control the senses and direct our body in the Right directions or Sattvika mode- THEN IT MUST SHOW. As we all move forward and push or pull The Divine Chariot, it may be a good time to introspect more on the question: Are We truly hAppy or sAd............??? The english language always continues to spell out The Srimad Bhagavad Gita to us loud and clear all day, only one has to be observant and sense it....!!! If we look at the two words : h-A-ppy or s-A-d we again would observe that they both have only ONE VOWEL [A] defining and separating them, but the meanings may be a lifetime of Peace for one and Sufferings for another. LORD KRSNA very profoundly and emphatically announces to dear Arjuna in Chapter [10:33] that HE is signified by the First Letter [A] of the alphabets, thus [A] Must signify The ATMAN or our SELF and thus if one were constantly in the pursuit of h-A-ppiness then it may be obligatory or mandatory through Spiritual Injunctions to recongnize the source and storehouse of Peace which is ones Inner SELF or The ATMAN. No wonder then, so many Sages, Swamis, Yogis only achieved Peace and looked HAPPY - through their Introspection of the Self or [A] for ATMAN. Thus, in essence it is the value or understanding of the [A] that does it for them....!!! But, when in our materially focussed temporary life, we voluntarily choose to decisively replace the alphabet [A] for ATMAN with an [A] for either [Avoidance, Anger, Arrogance or Antagonize] the Scriptual Injunctions, and try to Act on our will and plans, then our short-term or long-term failures and short-comings make us : s-A-d. We more often than not, remain S.A.D on the outside or deep inside and Only our Inner SELF or [ATMAN] knows it and may REFLECT it then in our Body, Speech or through our Minds, and finally on our FACE. No wonder LORD KRSNA advises sorrowing Arjuna in Chapter [16:24]: tasmac chastram pramanam te karyakarya vyavasthitaujnatva sastra vidhanoktam karma kartum iharhasi Therefore, the SCRIPTURE alone is your only authority in deciding as to what ought to be done and what ought not to be done. Now you ought to know and thus perform your duty as laid down in the Scriptures.... FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Since we ALL are constantly searching for PEACE and trying to be : [h-A-ppy] then it may be good to often remind ourselves of its source and storehouse : The [A] for ATMAN and try to read, follow, meditate, chant or delve into THE Sacred SCRIPTURE to guide or show us the Spiritual Path. Only then The Sacred Scripture will move us away from the [A] for : our own Avoidance, Anger, Arrogance or Antagonizing the Scriptural injunctions and would let us be [h-A-ppy] and not [s-A-d] inside or out...!!!
