OMG so sorry for the lack of updates time has been flying past! Mr Scrat and I have been tackling the prelims and I finally got to watch a video of it which was very valuable as it looked a lot better than it had been feeling so now to work on smooth, balanced transitions and keeping the balance throughout in the canter work. We also had a little play with some jump schooling to add in variety. Then today I got to ride a lovely horse for a jump lesson for myself which was brilliant got me back up to speed being able to ride something trustworthy and capable. So my tips are get someone to video lessons or riding so you can see what things look like from the ground and also riding schoolmasters or more established horses helps your own confidence and to experience the feel and aids.
