ON THIS DAY IN RWF HISTORY 5th August, 1939 250th Anniversary Parade at Caernarfon Castle, The 250th anniversary of the raising of the Regiment was celebrated with parades at Wrexham and Caernarfon. At the latter the Constable of the Castle, David Lloyd George, former Prime Minister during the last two years of the Great War, addressed the parade. Detachments and Goats of the 1st, 4th, 6th and 7th Battalions were present. Four weeks later the country was at war with Germany.
