ONE FEUCSO FAMILY: Establishing a strong unity among FEU-ture Leaders The annual celebration of FEUCSO Teambuilding continues its legacy in molding the next FEU-ture leaders of the university showcasing the theme: “ONE FEUCSO FAMILY: Establishing a strong unity among FEU-ture Leaders”. The said event has an aim of breaking the walls of differences in personalities, stance and attitudes of each new member as they engaged in a long road of service. The event was steered by Ms. Nicole Zenarosa and Mr. Arnel Sayasa that serves as the Masters of Ceremonies. Started on time last August 17 at the FEU University Conference Center (UCC). Event was graced by the FEUCSO Officers, FEUCSO Adviser; Madam Marie Lenore de los Santos, committee heads together with the senior committees. The special event started with an invocation led by Mr. Mark Lacsinto, the newly appointed FEUCSO Treasurer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Afterwards, the FEUCSO President Mr. Nathan Daniel Sison delivered his opening remarks noting that as student leaders, they must give an extra effort to be academically competitive while catering their co-tamaraws as well. It was then succeeded by the project proponent of the event, Ms. Raihanah Pandapatan who emotionally delivered her introduction ending her speech with tears. Tears that signifies how hard has she been working to deliver this superb event, tears of joy and tears of a successful person with an immense humility within. For this year’s team building, the FEUCSO Executive Committee Director, Ms. Raihanah Pandapatan who revolutionized trouble-free team building invited a notable individual who has so much to offer in the persona of Mr. Benedict “Ned” L. Salvador. Salvador served as the facilitator of the program who actually made a very different approach in this year’s team building. Instead of so much talk, his team opted an experiential learning approach, synergy and collaboration to develop a more compassionate FEUCSO Family. The facilitators also include; Ms. April Gatdula. Dr. Alez Gegare, Mr. Michael Padilla, Mr. Chardlie Pascua, Mr. Roland Timbol IV and Mr. Romeo Yu. Mr. Ned and his team started it with a bang! They attacked the newly accepted committees by giving them a piece of paper where in an animal sound was printed and they must mimic it for them to find their group mates. There was a sudden noise within the UCC and Team Buzz was luckily the first one to find their other halves. It was then followed by more activites which is summarized within the table below. The activities of the team building happened to be in a framework that focuses on the aspect of testing each participants focus, speed and accountability. Likewise, an intelligent discourse aired the walls of the venue as each members shared their expectation about the organization. The entire activity was indeed interactive. The new committees surely had fun while they are learning at the same time. On the other hand, the former FEUCSO Executive Committee Director and now a member of the National Officer, United Architects of the Philippines Graduate Auxiliary 2014-2015, Mr. Carl Christopher P. Verdadero had the chance to give some focal points that all executive committees must always keep within their pocket. “You don’t need to have a name to serve the FEU community, as long as you know that you are working for the benefit of majority, every sweat is worth it.” His speech was delivered after lunch that surely added another pack of learning in every execomm’s tummy. The event ended with the awarding of certificates to the facilitators and the Closing Remarks was delivered by FEUCSO Vice President, Mr. Jade Anthony Dela Cruz, with overwhelming gratitude to those who participated, supported and most especially to the facilitators and project proponent who made it possible. This event is a one step ahead towards a long and exciting journey of Team F. As Henry Ford once said Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” And this article is worth concluding with the printed phrase on the facilitators’ shirt “There is no I on TEAM”. Article by Arnel Sayasa
