ONE OF OUR NATIONs Greatest Sins is our absolute refusal to accept reality. This denial of our racial reality allows many to feel comfortable and at peace, while millions are suffering all around them. Deny reality and you can enjoy the fruits of a racist system. Accept the truth and you might have to become uncomfortable being so comfortable. . As I mentioned in a class taught earlier today by Carla and Vanessa, the primary thing that holds racism in place is our national narrative which still teaches everyone in the 3rd grade that Justice and Liberty prevail and everyone is treated equally.
