FOX NEWS LATINO: Mexican film star Ninon Sevilla dead at 93 - Cuban-born dancer and actress Ninon Sevilla, a star of the Golden Age of Mexican film, died in a Mexico City hospital where she was admitted last week showing symptoms of pneumonia, media outlets said. She was 93. At 3:45 p.m. (Thursday) Ninon Sevilla, with Cuban passport, died, producer Federico Wilkins said in a Twitter message. Goodbye Elena Tejero, Wilkins added, in a reference to the character Sevilla portrayed in the 1950 film Aventurera. Wilkins recalled that Mulata (1954) with Mexican actor Pedro Armendariz, was the first of only two movies that Sevilla - who was born Emelia Perez Castellano - filmed in her native Cuba. The actress son, musician Genaro Lozano, confirmed her death without giving additional details, and expressed gratitude to friends, relatives and admirers who had shown concern about his mothers health.
