OPEN LETTER TO ALL GAMAWAS POLITICIANS, STAKEHOLDERS, TRADITIONAL RULERS, ELDER STATESMEN, DIASPORAS, YOUTHS AND STUDENTS. BY: (Comrade Kassim Abubakar Gamawa). All praise belongs to the lord of the entire world. May peace and blessings be upon master Muhammad, the prophet of mercy and messenger of wisdom, his benevolent family and his noble companions, perpetually until the of time. Its with due respect, honour and homage to the above mentioned categories of people. I, on behalf of the entire youths and students of Gamawa Local Government, want to use this medium to express and vomit what is cheating and boiling our mind for long time. Well, Gamawa is a local government of Bauchi state, which blessed with vast human and natural resources. Such resources includes; availability of farmland, economic trees, prominant politicians, great educators, famous businessmen and powerful armed-forces. But overtly, its brought our attention that in recent, things are getting worst as the rate of unemployment youths is very high, students allowances was totally terminated, complete one month in darkness (no electricity), scarcity of pump and borehole water, dilapidation of primary and pre-primary education sector, lack of standard healthcare professional. Its very unfortunate, to say while all these contemporaneous are happening in Gamawa, but all the concerned people have been hushed up their grubby mouth and hanged up their dity hands not because they are not aware, it is obviously they were all aware. Its just as what Malam Bahaushe said in his popular proverb that says, Makaho bai san ana ganin sa ba, sai an taba shi. So now, to be frank our patience have been exhausted, it a very high time to show you that we know our right and we must fight for it. Regard to the problems that, i made mention earlier, i will elucidate them one after the other, so as proper care and measure should be taken. 1. HIGH RATE OF UNEMPLOYMENT YOUTHS: Of course this is the problem one, though we know this is the general and common problem that is bedevilling the youth in Africa, Nigeria and Bauchi State. But the case is different here in Gamawa LGA, as the rate of unemployment youths is very high to the zenith, whereabouts 80% are jobless and most of them are educated and many were certificate holders unto various field profession e.g Degree,HND,NCE,ND,OND and etc but still unemployed. Furthermore, we dont know what was happened with Gamawa LGA since May, 2008 no single person been employed at Local Govt level same case with Loal Government Educational Authority LEA, while we have qualified and certified that can do the job. We need to know why and where the problem is, if the problem is not from you, you have to do something in order to rectify the problem, but if its from you, you have to come and tell us why! Because we know our counterparts are still offering employment to their youths time to time. Well, Gamawa have been one among the local governmen of Bauchi state, which produced prominant politicians and dynamic government officials at the state and federal level of government and many are still in power such positions are; State Head of Service, State Chairman Scholarship Board, National Civil Services Commissioner, Speaker State House of Assembly, State Deputy Governor, 2 times Senate, State Chairman Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Chairman BAYWARD, Vice-Air Marshal, Deputy Comptroller of Custom, Air Commandor, Brigadier General, Captains. In another hand, we have many diasporas who were living in American, England, China and ETC But yet they didnt left any tangible legacy that can kept their name and image alive though some of them were tried but level of performance is beyond our expectations consider to the bigger of their jobs and offices. 2. A COMPLETE MONTH IN FULL OF DARKNESS, WITHOUT ELECTRICITY: This is another very shamful thing is today its barely a complete one month without electricity popularly known as NEPA in Gamawa, we dont know whats the problem nor the reason but no matter how the problem is, it suppose to say by or before now the problem has been resolved, consider to now we are in the political period and the election is almost approach, therefore only here in Gamawa LGA we have two strong Governorship aspirats, three Senatorial aspirants, morethan five people lucking for House of Representatives ticket and so also to State House of Assembly but unfortunately their home town remains in dark for almost 30days. If they cant do for the sake of Allah, they have to do for the sake of their votes. Conclusively, all in all, i am calling the attention of all the students and youths in Gamawa LGA to shun and abstain from voting any politician if the situation continuous going as this present situation and dont let anybody to use our intelligency during election to make us political thuggeries and later abandon us, because when they get into power they only use to build their families, friends, relatives and loyalist. Remember, he who fails to comfront, fails to win. No Retreat! No Surrender! Aluta Continua! Victoria Aserta!
