OPEN LETTER TO ALL PATRIOTIC SUPPORTERS OF APC IN NASARAWA STATE We have noticed with absolute dismay efforts made by some party leaders in the state to take selfish and dangerous decision as regards the state congress at the detriment of the overall interest of the party, state, and its teeming supporters, we are therefore constraint by this alarming decision to call on the attention of the TRUE party supporters to get involved in this issue and play their patriotic role to SAVE the party from some few Individuals or group of people who should know that the party is indeed greater t them. The issue in contention is where the State Chairmanship of the party should be situated, even though the party is not disposed to the so called Zoning system as popularly practiced by the PDP, but every rule has an exception as in this case where the party has suffered some loses and needs to strike a balance so as to accommodate defective areas. While some few party leaders are bent on having the Chairmanship seat to the Nasarawa West senatorial district, overwhelming and patriotic supporters see this move as suicidal or other word writing a political will to the Northern Senatorial district of the party before its end time ,so as the journey progresses we took our time across the three senatorial districts and analyzed the true situation, interviewed many party loyalist and came up with this reality as illustrated in the table below. POSITION NAS NORTH (AKWANGA ZONE) NAS SOUTH (LAFIA ZONE) NAS WEST (KEFFI ZONE) 1. Governor NIL 1 NIL 2. DEP-Governor NIL (DEFECTED) NIL NIL 3. SSG NIL NIL 1 4. SENATOR NIL (DEFECTED) NIL 1 5. HOUSE OF REPS NIL (DEFECTED) NIL (DEFECTED) 1 (REMAINING) 6. HOUSER OF ASSEMBLY NIL 3 (LAFIA (2), AWE(1) 2 (KEFFI) 7. APC NAT.V/CHAIRMAN NIL NIL 1 (GEN ABOKI) The table in Percentage (%) is as follows. 1) Nasarawa North Senatorial District (Akwanga Zone) =0% 2) Nasarawa South Senatorial District (Lafia Zone)=44% 3) Nasarawa West Senatorial District (Keffi)=56% NOTE: This analysis does not include Commissioners, Advisers, Secretaries, DGs GMs and MDs of Parastatals and commissions as they cut across the three senatorial districts fairly, we surveyed just the key Elected officers, National leadership and the highest state appointment . The above table is the reflection of the present political reality and structures of the party in the state as present, so do we need a soothsayer or a magician to tell what decisions should be taken? NO, but for the interest of fairness and participation we have decided to take the issue to the polls of public opinion by asking 10 Questions and we demand your answers to make this poll a success. 1) Can a Zone with Zero (0%) of the political offices as stated above make any impact? 2) Can the people of a Zone that has (0%) have a sense of belonging to support APC in the next election? 3) Can our dear party the APC survive 2015 with only 2 zones? 4) Can the state afford to loose our Dear Governor and the positive impacts in terms of infrastructures, Social Welfare, Education, Health etc because of the selfish interest of few? 5) Don’t we have saboteurs among the APC leaders that want to destroy the party by this means? 6) What is the direction and strategy of the party towards winning elections in that Zone? 7) Why are they using the party to form structure of the Government NOW, when SSG was taking away from Nasarawa South to West to ensure a tripod stand of (Governor, Deputy Gov and SSG) been the 3 top Government position? 8) Can the First lady, SSG, Commissioners, SAs, PAs, Secretaries, MDs, DGs of government agencies and parastatals regain their positions if the mistakes are made and the party loses out? 9) Can we afford to bear consequences of an inexperienced or an unpopular party Chairman, when in few months from now another process will commence? 10) Who are the party chairmanship candidates, their track records and their Pedigree? The Questions are yours to answer, the answers are yours to analyze so it can form the basis of our collective decision in moving the party and the state to the promise land. You can send your answers and responses to saveapcnasgroup@yahoo or text 08166538439. YOU CAN KILL THE MESSENGER, BUT YOU CANT KILL THE MESSAGE Thank You, Shehu Nasir Sabo (Lafia Zone) Ibrahim Adamu Yunusa (Keffi Zone) Sani Yayo(Akwanga Zone)
