ORIENTATION # 683 : TO LIVE IN A CONTROLLED MESS ___________________________________ The basic self deception of humanity is to be found in the condition in which humanity itself is a worshiper of control. Whatever the field is, whether religious control, socio-political control, idealistic control, moralistic and due to the common senses control, legislative control.. and even spiritualistic control.. in the field of spiritual/existential quest and search.. which is all about control such as to breath in a certain way.. or to follow this and that technique.. to eat this and that food.. to force body and mind to do things that very often border on the ridiculous. Humanity, historically and today, lives in a state of everlasting confusion an no inward communication. The manner through which humankind reacts, psychologically and socially, to such confusion is manifested through the usual, millenary and so common mistake which is the act of clinging to the focusing on the solution rather than the very radical psychological origins of the problem. So, as like it happens in a town that has an increasing problem with traffic.. the usual tendency to solve the problem takes place in form of new traffic lights and signs.. Then the problem is solved for a while... but the quantity of traffic is increasing... Then the problem, the confusion, represents itself again despite of the new signs and even new roads... The tendency this time is the usual one again: more regulation and more high penalties in the case one breaks the roles... The solution always leads to control, which is authority.. then maybe the problem is, again, temporarily solved .. but the large amount of pressure and stress, nervousness and silent / latent aggressiveness .. the discomfort and so on... the sum of all of this things, in response to more control... rises dramatically: Before such town had a tangible problem: the rise of traffic... Now it has two major problems: the traffic keeps rising... and the psychological traffic of confused and nervous thoughts ... rises as well.. This is to say that control always brings pain.. instability (paradoxically) .. violence and confusion inwardly and outwardly... We are educated through and by values such as; discipline, austerity, competitive perseverance... We are also educated in and by the ideas that suggested us that control is a good option to be preserved and actuated when our social identity and our psychological outside-manufactured-conditioned-network-system are completed... So we mistake order with control : we believe its the same ... Can the mind think in order but having no control at all ? Can the mind think with no desires aimed to control the mind itself and no acts of clinging to external authorities ? In truth the tragicomic condition of mankind is that men live in control, under control, and as worshipers of control whatever it is .. religious, spiritual, ritualistic, moral, political, ideological, parental control and so on... Men live in control... but not in order ! There is no relationship of any kind between control and psychological freedom.. Indeed psychological freedom, which is evolutionary attentiveness, is absolute order... but not the conceptualization of order that comes to our mind sounding and ringing like a sort of nazi scenario during a military parade ... no: not that false concept of order... but rather an order inherent in a peaceful mind ... a mind that exists in psychological serenity, non violent .. the intelligent evolution of which grows every new day ... Psychological order is serenity and great dynamic, elastic, flexible and sharp attentiveness ... The mind in order is a mind that can move from extreme logic .. up to maximum visionariness ... From the peaks of poignant emotionality .. up to the bottom of the psychological sea of the most complex intellectualism... A mind in order takes off and flies : its free: no more brainwashing will ever be able to penetrate such mind...
