OUR BIG GIG – THE SUTTON MUSIC MARKET JULY 11th, 11.30am to 6.00pm, SUTTON MARKET PLACE YOUR CHANCE TO CELEBRATE BEING PART OF THE LOCAL MUSIC COMMUNITY! As part of a national series of over 300 events called ‘Our Big Gig’, held between July 11th and 14th 2013, Takeover Radio are organising the ‘Sutton Music Market’ in partnership with Ashfield District Council & Markets. Musicians, bands, performers, music teachers and tutors, choirs, music societies, course providers and anyone else connected to music in Ashfield and Mansfield are extended a warm welcome to take over a market stall for the day to join in a celebration of local music and to get people involved in making music. This is a chance to meet fellow musicians and introduce members of the public to music making opportunities and perhaps give them the chance to try an instrument or learn a new skill. We are also hoping that for the final performance of the day, as many musicians as possible will join in a big sing-a-long! Takeover Radio will also bring their new mobile stage to the event, and there will be live performances from local musicians throughout the day, as well as live broadcasts on the radio, and the chance for all the stall holders to tell everyone about themselves on the radio! Stalls are 10ft x 4ft and can be configured with boards or with open access depending on your needs. Stalls are £5.00 for the day for musicians and voluntary groups. £10.00 for anyone selling products on the day. £20.00 for food vendors. These fees are to cover the costs of the market staff who are available throughout the day. Set-up – 9.30am to 11.30am Stalls Open – 11.30am to 6.00pm Live Performances – one per hour from 12.00pm to 5.00pm Pack away – 6.00pm to 7.00pm To book a stall, or if you have any queries about the event, please email takeover106.9@gmail or call Takeover Radio on 01623 555393
