Oba AbdulRahaman is a Leader to Emulate - Belgore A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Mr. Dele Belgore (SAN) has extolled the leadership qualities of the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Professor Shuaibu Oba Abdulraheem, describing him as a leader worthy of emulation. Belgore stated this today when he paid an unscheduled visit to the private residence of the respected Professor of English and Literature in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. Belgore, who arrived Prof. Abdulraheem’s Adewole Estate residence around 6:30pm today in the company of a long convoy of supporters, stated that Abdulraheem’s good gesture to the people of Kwara State over the years cannot be over-emphasized. He therefore urged him not to relent in his effort even in the face of antagonism from the ruling elite. Belgore disclosed that his mission at the senior Professor’s house was to reassure him that irrespective of the outcome of the PDP congresses which held recently, Abdulraheem is still owed in high esteem, considering his leadership role in the PDP and his immense contributions to the development of the state. The senior lawyer however alluded to the rare show of pleasantries and camaraderie between members of the two camps, describing such a ready indication that the PDP family is one big family across the state. While responding, Prof. Abdulraheem said that he was ‘honoured’ and ‘elated’ by the visit of Belgore, promising that the PDP shall remain one big family that will not be penetratable by the ruling elite. He said he appreciated the message of peace that Belgore came with and urged Belgore and his entourage to ensure that no single party member ‘drifted’ away as a result of the congress or anything else. On Mr. Belgore’s entourage were, Rev. Bunmi Olusona, Dr. Ibrahim Oloriegbe, Dr. Mahmud Kpotun, Engr. Ahmed Ajimati, Alhaji Atanda Zoro, Alhaji Baba Olosasa, Alhaji Omosa Okolo, Alhaji Mustapha Kobe, Alhaji Tunji Ajanaku, Barr. Majeed Oloriegbe, Mallam Rasak Jidah, and a host of others.
