Observation of World Breast Feeding Week 2014 Theme: BREASTFEEDING: A Winning Goal - for Life! This theme highlights the importance of ongoing support for mothers breastfeeding intentions, carried forward by the global attention to this year’s Football World Cup, where hitting the goal is the only way forward! Objective of the Awareness Campaign: To provide information about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and how they relate to breastfeeding. HOPE’s Community Health Group has conducted a large scale awareness campaign to celebrate the World Breastfeeding Week at Ramnagar, in association with Health Department of Borough XV, Garden reach ICDS zone. Home visit for 1:1 interaction done by AWW along with Community Health Volunteers. Twelve AWWs have actively participated in this event. Dr. M.H.Momin, Medical Officer of Ward Health Unit 134 has explained the advantages of Exclusive Breastfeeding.
