Occupy Chicago November 3, 2013 Fox news, during a half hour health and wellness show called “A Healthy You and Carol Alt,” the real truth about GMO’s was made known to the public. Shocking, I know. Fox news is not really the news outlet that you would foresee bringing such a controversial topic to light. Organic health advocate, Max Goldberg, was brought on as a guest speaker and put the reality of the dangers of GMO’s in the spotlight. Talking to Carol Alt about GMO studies, Goldberg stated: No long-term studies have ever been done on humans, but when you look at the studies that have been done on animals, it’s pretty appalling. You’re talking about liver damage and kidney damage and when they fed it to hamsters, the third generations of hamsters weren’t able to produce babies, so there’s a real safety issue. Goldberg went on to explain a brief history of GMO’s and explain that GMO’s are a new type of food never seen on this planet. He prominently let the public know that GMO’s were not, initially, created to solve the world hunger problem as so many opponents claim.
