Occupy scared the bejesus out of the corrupt ones because the facade they erected was being torn down. People were beginning to understand that the corporate controlled media was creating perception not reporting on reality. Massive peaceful protest is in fact the answer to this corrupt system. Putting pressure on the people whose job it is to uphold the law empowers and inspires civil servants, who want to do the right thing, to do the right thing. The occupy movement was met with such strong armed tactics from a corporate controlled police state because this form of protest and activism is a threat to stranglehold the corporate elite hold on our system. When the system fails because it has been corrupted it is up to the people to hold those who are corrupting it accountable. Occupy was and still is the answer.
