Oct. 2, 2013 2013-14 Roster BOSTON – The Boston University men’s lacrosse program and head coach Ryan Polley have finalized the 2013-14 roster, as announced on Wednesday. Nine newcomers, including three transfers, one walk-on and five members of the BU club team, will join the initial 34 members of the inaugural recruiting class to complete the Terriers’ 42-man roster. Among the club players are three seniors and two juniors who will provide leadership to the squad’s 32 true freshmen. Jack Cruzan, Patrick Donnelly and Alex Paroda represent the three transfers. Freshman Hunter Stein made the team as a walk-on after open tryouts, as did former club team players Evan Herron, Kyle Lange, Alex Nicolaou, Emerson Rogers and Brad Sauln. BU will host its first exhibition game at Nickerson Field on Wednesday, Oct. 23, against Team England at 7:30 p.m. A free youth clinic will precede the game, which is free and open to the public. Jack Cruzan (Del Mar, Calif./Providence) Appeared in five games last season at Providence, recording two shots … Played four seasons on the varsity lacrosse team at Cathedral Catholic High School … Was a US Lacrosse All-American as a senior after he scored 28 goals and added 32 assists … Earned Western League First Team honors and Second Team All-CIF honors in 2011 and 2012 … Was also member of RC Starz and West Coast Starz … Earned two varsity letters in soccer.
